Do you want to sell more from your blog? If you're struggling and not making any money from your blog I suggest you check out Vegas Traffic Jam!

What? You might think that is a strange title - this site uses keywordluv.

KeywordLuv is a Wordpress plugin, that I think is a must for do-follow blogs, and I use it on all of my dofollow blogs.

Those who post valid comments on do-follow blogs know that it’s important to use the right keyword link text on their comments.

For example, when I post comments on other do-follow blogs and point them to my Do-Follow Blog Directory, I don’t use the actual link in the comments name field - http://followlist.com .

blog-link-text

Instead I want to use something like:

Correct Link Text Example

Notice I use the Name “Mike Do-Follow Directory”. Ideally I would like to use just “Do-Follow Directory”, but some blog owners don’t like you to use just your keywords. If you use your name and then your keywords blog owners will be more forgiving.

Since most who comment on do-follow blogs don’t know this, there is a way you can help them use the correct Name - KeywordLuv.

I use KeywordLuv on all of my do-follow blogs because it encourages comments since they do get to use their keyword in the link, and I like the way it looks.

The KeywordLuv syntax is “YourName@YourKeywords” like below.

KeywordLuv Example
That’s why this site uses keywordluv, it’s perfect for Do-Follow Blogs!

The KeywordLuv plugin also automatically sets your blog comments to be Do-Follow. However, it doesn’t seem to work for setting do-follow on my blog, so I use the DoFollow Plugin.

This plugin rocks! I love be able to use both my name as well as some keywords. Much Luv for Keyword Luv!

  2. Bob from Real Estate in Tampa on June 23rd, 2008 6:50 pm

Well this seems to be a great idea and one that should hopefully take off quite well. I did try to install it on my blog but I had problems with it.

  3. Jerry from Telemarketing Services on June 23rd, 2008 7:17 pm

lol it took me forever to find the real comments box -_-

  4. Mike from do follow blogs on June 27th, 2008 2:41 pm

Yeah I agree that this is really a beutiful solution for both blog owners and commentators as I, too do not like to reply to comments where I have to say “Hi home insurance” to adress the commentor …

  5. Simon from free Vector Art on July 6th, 2008 4:44 am

I have added keywordluv to one of my blogs, and have found my comments have gone up 300%. Fantastic. Although you really do need to check on the links that people leave, to make sure your not linking to bad sites. Worth it I think and a great addition to the do-follow blogging movement.

  6. Erin from Hair Blow Dryers on July 31st, 2008 2:31 pm

Great plugin here! Now hopefully we can see less wierd names since keywords can be used instead of being inserted as “names”. So you won’t have to reply like “Dear Best Travel Advice, …” =D

  7. Karlonia from Internet Marketing Blog on August 4th, 2008 10:42 am

Although I have not yet gotten the KeywordLuv plugin to work, my blog at Karlonia.com is DoFollow for comments.

I just discovered the KeywordLuv plugin (great idea!) yesterday, but sadly my theme seems to be incompatible. This probably doesn’t matter much, however; people seem to be doing a good enough job of putting their keywords in the name field anyway :)

  8. Olivier from mindfulness exercises on August 4th, 2008 7:16 pm

Yes, it is a great plugin, I also use it on my blog.

Also: congrats Mike, You have the nr1 spot on google for the keyword “this site uses keywordluv”. I just found you in this way.

  9. Do-Follow Mike on August 5th, 2008 1:28 pm

Thanks for pointing out the #1 spot, Oliver.

It’s not by accident, but I didn’t realize I had that spot.

Not the best keyword to have the #1 spot for, but I’ll take it. I’ll also be sharing how a WP plugin helped me to get that #1 spot.

  10. justin from brett favre saga on August 6th, 2008 7:16 pm

I agree Keyword Luv is amazing for both sides. Commenters get a nice back link with their keywords while the blog owner gets more relevant comments.

I am going to be implementing this on one of my blogs to test it out and see if it can help increase interaction. Thanks.

So now that you have created this post do you find most people searching for the phrase “This site uses KeywordLuv” are winding up on this page or your other posts where you mention the phrase and why you added the article? Or to your front page?

I have facing trouble posting with keywords on many blogs. Hope it will work and acceptable to do-follow blog owners. Thanks for the tip.

  17. JS from BusbySeoChallenge on August 18th, 2008 3:08 am

    Interesting!
KeywordLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.

  18. Simon from how to make quick money on August 24th, 2008 4:21 am

Just a heads up that JS SEO Busby comment is being spammed all over Keywordluv blogs like mine…I have seen it in 6 different blogs already.

  31. Oldbuddy from Free How To Make Money on November 6th, 2008 7:28 am

I installed the KeywordLuv plugin tonight and the documentation said I had to install a DoFollow plugin specifically. Maybe new information.

  32. Do-Follow Mike on November 6th, 2008 3:59 pm

    Hey Oldbuddy,
Yes you do need to install a DoFollow plugin.
The KeywordLuv plugin is irrelevant if you’re not a dofollow blog, since links with anchor text won’t be followed.

    Hope that makes sense.

I contribute to this real estate blog in San Diego and it really helps to have this plug-in. It definitely gets more people to participate in the blog. The only thing to watch out for is some spam but besides that it has been great and get more people to participate in the blog.

  40. Kaiser from Free Car Insurance Quotes on November 19th, 2008 4:58 am

This is possibly the single best plugin that wp has. It’s a win-win situation mainly because it gives the readers a great incentive to leave good comments and the blog receives more traffic and possible more ad revenue as well.

  47. Jam from taux prêt hypothécaire on December 6th, 2008 9:01 am

This plug-in increased the readers in my site - truly rocks! .. I still get spam messages/comments, but of course.. they don’t get posted. =)

  48. george from cheap medical insurance on December 8th, 2008 5:33 am

    This plug-in is great!

First, it encourages people to comment on your posts which search engine loves.

Second, people like me who leaves comments get some keyword love. :D

But does anybody here think that Google might track down blogs using KeywordLuv and somehow tag them to be gaming the system? Just a thought.

  49. Paul from Dog Forum on December 8th, 2008 8:32 pm

Keywordluv is great too to increase comments. It allows people to give anchor rich links without looking spammy.

  54. Jack Clarke from SEO and Affiliate Marketing Tools on December 14th, 2008 4:19 am

  55. Justin from SEO Blog on December 17th, 2008 1:28 pm

I started using the keywordluv plugin about a week ago on one of my blogs and it seems great. Then I tried to find other sites using it and noticed that most of them have nofollow tags on all of their outgoing links! But, what is the point in keywordluv if your going to use no follow rel tags?

  61. Chris from Free PS3 on December 26th, 2008 4:01 pm

Thanks for implementing this great plug-in on your site. It’s an excellent idea to reward contributors to your site with a backlink and avoids the feeling of being rude when entering a keyword in lieu of your name - it makes the comments part of an article look so much more professional. Lets hope use of KeywordLuv spreads.

  62. Rome from NDS Games on December 27th, 2008 6:08 pm

I didn’t like to leave comments on other blogs back then but when this plugin went out. There was something that pushed me to comment. Now, I am commenting on a lot of blogs and I like it. Even without this plugin I leave comments. It’s really nice to see the reaction of people.

  63. Oliver from Free PS3 on December 30th, 2008 7:38 pm

Thanks so much for implementing this plugin onto your blog! :) I mean, you don’t have to do it, but it sure does bring a sense of community into the world of blogging even more, and helps everyone out!

    Cheers again.

  65. James from UK Deals on January 3rd, 2009 12:25 pm

I’ve been pretty lazy when it comes to the whole SEO thing (I know, that’s probably the worst statement I could ever make!) but finding info on plugins like KeywordLuv has been a real life saver for some of my blogs :). Thanks.

  66. Phoenix from Community Gift Ideas on January 5th, 2009 11:42 am

The plug-in works awesome. It encourages an active forum interaction on one’s site. Spammers cannot be avoided - giving senseless comments, though they can be controlled. This is just great! =)
