Well, we have to accept that link spam is now part of our lives.

Given Mr. G’s consideration for backlinks, you can expect link spammers creativity to boost, just as the virus coders got better at their stuff after the antivirus companies started to claim they were better.

Anti spam plugins are really a life saver to get rid of some of this junk (specially a chinese dude that leaves 3 or 4 comments daily…)

Anyway, just as machines, we can also be fooled… part of being human.

Even on my Blog also we use to see many Spam Comments, that too in bulk…god knows why they keep posting even if i disapprove every time..

I also use WP-SPAMFREE for my wordpress blog (in addition to akismet and a few other anti-spam protection plugins). Works great. I include a link to the plugin below for WP users.

Use recaptcha for blog so that these spammers or machines don’t fool you again.
After all it would very embarrassing if it happens again.

There’s nothing wrong with getting tricked on occasion. I have the most trouble with people who can’t spell or if English is not their first language.

Is the comment short because of that or because they are just in a hurry to get onto the next blog…

At the momment i only have the one blog up and running so not seen any issues with duplicate comments but you post actually made me laugh.

I bet the people posting spam comments would have thought twice if they had known both blogs where created/owned by the creator/owner as to not get caught out. This said if they are going to spam they are going to spam regardless and this wouldn’t really have stopped them.

The best advice i can give is to use captcha where possible and if using wordpress have the Askimet pluggin installed and active.

The problem with these spammers is that they are getting more “evolved” making them to be very difficult to be detected by anti-spam system. But I agree with them here that CAPTCHA can still do the blocking of auto commenting and spamming.

It seems that spammers are trying some advanced techniques how to hide that they are spammers. If you had only one blog you would never discover that this guy is making useless comment instead of to be interested in your post. However, at least he made some effort and didn’t post stupid comment like “nice post”

“Nice Article” , “Nice Informative Post” , “I enjoyed reading the complete article” – I think that these are the most common words that many of the spammer use.Firstly, i approve only those comments which i think that i can learn something from those lines commented by the reader and also if i feel the comment could be helpful for the readers.
