Hiring Out DoFollow Blog Comments

I get Google Alerts on the term “DoFollow Blogs” to keep up with what is going on in the dofollow blog world. If you don’t know about Google Alerts, I have written a post about how I use Google Alerts to monitor keywords.
For a while I’ve been seeing a number of people looking to hire someone to do their dofollow blog commenting for them.
Commenting on dofollow blogs can be a tedious task, and I have considered hiring someone to do my commenting. I have seen offers of around $70 to $100 for 100 comments, which seems to be a reasonable price.
Is it a good idea to free up your time to take care of more important things, by having someone building links by commenting on dofollow blogs?
It may be a good idea for you, but there are risks involved. If you are going to have someone else represent you by commenting with links going to your site, you need to be clear on what you are expecting of that person.
I would be clear about how many comments I want per day. You don’t want all 100 links done in one day, but rather have them spread out over 2-4 weeks.
You want to make sure your person for hire knows where you want those links placed. Do you want them on blogs related to your niche? Do you want them on blogs related to your niche, and they must be dofollow blogs?
Do you want them on dofollow blogs only, preferably related to your niche, but some may be in other niches? What percentage could be in other niches?
Are there niches you don’t want your comments placed on? Make sure to spell out where you don’t want them posted.
Do you have Google PR requirements? For example 20% on PR 4 or above, 30% on PR2 and PR3 and the rest on PR1 and above.
Are you going to provide the blogs to comment on, or are you doing to ask your hire to do that?
Do you require the comments be a certain length? Perhaps a minimum of 150 characters?
I would be clear that you expect those comments to be quality comments, related to the post.
I would also provide keywords that you want your person to use for the website title, and provide them with the actual links you want them to use.
How are you going to monitor, or spot check, that good comments are being created? Are you going to ask your person for hire to provide a list of all posts they comment on?
Wow, that’s a lot to ask of someone to do blog commenting, for me anyway. I really don’t know if I could find someone to do my commenting for around $1 per comment, with all my requirements.
I guess that’s why I’m not hiring out dofollow blog comments. Plus, I don’t know that I could trust anyone to represent me and my business when it comes to commenting on blogs. So, I’ll just continue doing it myself.

Those requirements seem tough for sure. Especially since after commenting on wordpress blogs for a month your domain gets spam blocked by Akismet, so you’re left looking for another way to get easy backlinks.

I was thinking about all of the blogs that have their comment sections with the do follow attribute. There are newbies who purchases links for their blog when they can just leave a comment on a do follow blog. When you’re new to blogging, it’s important to not spend any money.
I also prefer to post myself comments on blogs. If you’re doing something wrong when comment on blogs, and Akismet see you as a spammer, you can’t post your comments to any blog? Or just to that one?
I can’t imagine hiring out blog commenting. It isn’t just about the backlinks, it is about what people read in relation to your site. I’m also wondering about the concern over dofollow. I know form our research that the vast majority of sites do have NoFollow by default, such as all WordPress blogs, but I’m able to steadily increase the ranking of sites by following them. Does it really matter?

I never outsource stuff to people I don’t know. The least they should have is a recommendation from my friends. Preferably I’d like to know them personaly.
really like the idea of comment luv since it is a way to return the web back to being a collaboratives place. I think when you first put up your site you are excited and feel like your content will take over the world then you quickly realize that the only way to keep up there in search rankings is by building relationships with other webmasters.

Not sure I’d hire out comments, it is tempting, but I’d want to see some examples of their work first.
I think your better off doing the comments yourself. This way you read the post find ones that interest you or are related in topic. Some people who do the comments do not even check if they are follow links or have changed to no follow so your better off doing this work yourself.
I strongly agree with you, as good as we know about other people that will represent our site, surely better if we do it yourself.
Sometimes, you just have too many things to handle by yourself. That’s why some people would end up hiring people to comment on do follow blogs. There’s nothing wrong with it, really. You just have to make sure that they go by your standards.
You came to the same conclusion I would have. I wouldn’t judge anybody who decided differently, but at the end of the day I only trust myself to represent me.
Really interesting post. I would have never thought of hiring someone to do my blog readin’ and commentin’. I don’t think I’d trust someone to do it for me, besides I enjoy the opportunity to read posts like these.
It is also good to hire person for your blog comments as long as it is comments that contribute instead of blatant ads then it is really not a big deal.
Like you, I wouldn’t trust any link building activities to a third party and certainly not blog commenting.
At $1 per comment, I can’t believe the comments are going to be well reasoned and more likely to be considered spam.
I think the main issue, as you mentioned, relates to the quality of the comment. You see so many keyword stuffed comments that use poor english. You’d have to agree that the cost was for approved comments although it would be a big job to go back and check every comment on every blog was approved – its a tedious job but one probably better done ‘in-house’!
I can see thousands comments on blogs which are spammy and one liner stating that they will come back on the blog and this and that. I think it is just a stupid thing to avail those services because they are just crap.

About not getting 100 links done in 1 day: not sure if it will cause a penalty as it’s something that a competitor can do and it doesn’t make sense that something a competitor can do will hurt a site.

the do follow blog comments give the boost to your site. this is necessary phase of search engine optimization process.
I think your idea is right – keep it in house, it is a boring, time consuming job but only you know you will do it properly and not give you and your site a bad name – its a shame there’s not a quick fix but them I suppose everyone would do it!

I think do follow comments are pretty much worthless. In my opinion, any free and easy made link building techniques are bound to be valued poorly by Google.
As many have stated, i wouldn’t trust others writing comments on others blogs. When i write on someones blog i represent my site. By doing my best to contribute quality posts i make sure that people know that im not just spamming my website but contributing a quality comment and being rewarded with a quality link.
The trade off sounds fair to me, i won’t let anyone ruin it… at least for my site.

You are right that the time in which you are commenting for your site is very important.it is important that if you are commenting 100 comment than it should be done in the 3-4 days.
If you have done 100 comment in one day it is not beneficial much.
Commenting is the new way to increase interaction with visitor and site so it very important that you post very niche and true comment about that services, products please do not post comment for getting links!!!

Yeah I totally am on the same page with you about hiring out your do-follow link building. However, there is a slight problem:
How to count all the links the person gets in a day? Some blogs dont approve until days later.
$1.00 does seem like a reasonable rate but you will get much better results of you up it to $2.
I’m wondering how Akismet is distinguishing spammers from actual blog commentors? Hiring some backlink builders is very much in nowadays, it is helpful in a way but needs constant updates from time to time because some other blog owners switching off do-follow attribute after reaching their desired page rank.
I believe, that the $1 price is high enough IF you outsource that service to eastern Europe or some other countries, where wages are a lot lower.
One thing bugs me – do you (all people who provide such service:) ) charge for _posting_ a comment, or for the fact, that the comment has been approved and therefore the risk lays on you?

It is always better to do it yourself if you have the resources. It saves so much money when you can do a job internally rather than hiring an independent to do the work for you.
Time is really can not permit getting links by myself. Hiring a link builder can make the work easier however, what is important is giving instructions.
For example if i need hosting related link that week, i will specific highlight it and the number of links needed. So i get on with that even with blog commenting…
Linkbuilding is hard work if you really want to create huge amounts of links. But it may improve your rankings, so I could imagine to hire someone for that job.
If you can find someone you trust to do it right, then it’s usually a good idea. You could try it on another blog that is not your primary one, and if you are satisfied with the results you will know that you can trust that person or company.
You’re right, it certainly can be a tedious task, but the benefits of it are really worth it to me. A lot of the time I think that there’s a dangerous line with commenting because a lot of it can just turn into spam so quickly. One thing that has to be absolutely clear is that you have to contribute to the post, intelligently and respectfully.

Regarding hiring someone to do commenting, I feel its better to do the job yourself. Quality of work & output is much better when promotion is done by owner of blog itself.
I think something like bog commenting benefits both the commenter and the blogger. Bloggers get more content and commenters get a link back to their site.
True it does require more work but also provides useful content. As long as bloggers continue to moderate the obvious spam I see it as a legitimate way of promoting sites.

Also thought about that sort of ‘outsourcing’ and came to same conclusions. Also a lot of my keywords have special characters that aren’t usual for English language and explaining the importance of these characters would be very tiring:).
I agree with you, if you will hire dofollow comments, you must be clear on what you are expecting from the person you hired. To be sure if your hire is doing good work and posting quality comments, you can have a trial work for 2 weeks to see his work and verify the quality of the comments.
I wouldn’t hire anyone to do my commenting for me simply because I enjoy doing it myself. I enjoy commenting so much that I might consider putting myself up for hire. Haha
Also, it is a difficult job to get good help. Things could turn ugly for you if you are trying to make a brand out of yourself and hired help botches your comments and makes you look like… you know what I mean

The last point you made is what I think the most important thing. If you have someone making comments for you, they have to know how you want your company to be represented.
The way I see it, you can either give them the license to say that they own the business they are building links for or just do the commenting on your own.
Some may like the latter while some may like the first choice. To each his own right?
I wouldn’t trust just anyone with this tasks. It’s too easy to get banned by google and I’ve figured out that spending 30 minutes/day on commenting blogs (that I like) to add several comments is perfectly within my range. that’s 100$ bucks I can say my blog has earned me
Hiring somewant to comments seems to me a little bit ridicoulus. It would be banned by google I think… If it for building backlink, it must be looked as a normal activities.
Blogging for me is a kind of hobby that for some result may give another benefit in bucks, right?
I suppose it depends on what do you expect of your site. If it is a part-time project aimed on short-lived popularity, then buying comments is acceptable. But with real long-term projects you better be caring about quality of your backlinks as well as quantity.
Once i kind of outsorced this task by telling a friend to comment on some blog. My friend was too happy to help me and commented on a lot of blogs in just two days. Result: akismet blocked him so he cannot comment anymore. Since then i just comment by myself and with caution.
Backlinking is a very important thing. If you are doing quite a bit of it for SEO clients, it might be a good idea to train your staff on the proper way. I don’t think it is something that you can just trust someone to do and hope they know how. Maybe SEO people should have someone on staff that just specializes in it. Think of it like comic books. The penciler doesn’t usually letter the comic, but a letterer who specialized in that skill does.
Blogging really enriches our knowledge apart from getting links posted for some bucks.I personally did get some decent PR by commenting in do follow blogs. But when i stand and see now i am happy to see how much i have learned through this on all subjects. Really a win-win game!
hiring someone you knew to do the commenting for you is actually OK. It would make your life less stressful, so long the rules are followed.

For web site owners who are branding themselves as the “product”, certainly posting your own comments on blogs makes sense. However, if you have a niche where you are branding your product in some other way – for example, the actual product could be software or an e-book where samples and testimonials would be provided – then hiring someone to comment on blogs for you might make sense, especially if you are looking for some backlinks in order to increase your search engine ranking.
Definitely something to think about.
Hiring out someone to post blog comments is pretty risky, especially since the content should be relevant and informative. When someone else posts the comment, you also tend to worry about the quality of the post; or else it would be flagged as spam. The comment is useless once it gets deleted.
I’ve been doing SEO for my website (That’s why I’m here) and had no idea that I could actually be paid that much just to leave some decent blog comments. I knew that it was part of what SEO firms did, but I didn’t know it could be a stand alone job.
I can definitely see how it could make sense to hire out if you’re really busy, since it’s a pretty time consuming task. But you need to make sure that the people you hire are dependable or you’ll end up with a lot of comments that are irrelevant and get deleted.

Nah, just get a list of do-follow blogs and do it yourself. If you hire someone, you’ll have 100 cr*p comments on 100 mediocre blogs unrelated to your site.

I think hiring people for the dofollow blog commenting is a great idea. Its less time consuming as many people can be doing it and it boosts economy a great deal. I think its worth going after.

Link Building is a time consuming process. You have to make sure that the person posting the comments knows what they’re doing. Because if they’re going to post “nice post, I loved it!” in every comment you’ll not only look foolish (as they sign as you) but also might get into some spam filters and never be able to post comments again. It’s worth taking time to investigate the person you’re going to hire.

I think the major issue that comes from outsourcing blog comments is cost. Most beginners will use blog commenting to get a foothold but, as many of them don’t have much money to start with they go for the cheap option which almost inevitably leads to poor results. Having gone this path in the early days I know the perils.

i appreciate your dofollow movement first of all, and now regarding hiring the people for blog commenting, i don’t think that anyone should hire anyone for doing blog comment, because blog comment must be relevent to the topic and if you want your comments for particular niche then no one can do better comment than you.

Interesting point you have there in your post. Blog commenting is very useful to generate good and quality backlinks. I prefer to do it my own but it is very hard to do if you own a bunch of sites.
There is no way I would hire someone to do my dofollow comments. In order to get someone who actually reads the post, meets your requirements, and represents your company in a way that keeps a positive online presence.

I’d not heard of the Google Alerts, thanks for mentioning them. I am new to all this online promotion and am trying to learn how to do it myself. Knowing when things change sounds very useful to me.
It’s a judgment call whether to outsource commend dropping or not. Your advice to spread them all out over 2 to 4 weeks is sound. Google does not like artificially manipulated increases in inbound links. They like everything steady and on a normal curve.

Yes, the usual rate for comment writing is $1 per visible comment. My clients pay me 50% as partial payment but we have an agreement that all the comments should be visible after 10 days before that gave the final pay to me. They are not strict in keywords but I must leave relevant comments.
I agree with you. I set my blog dofollow too, so they can free to come and comment on it. I don’t care about google PR.
I always write my comments myself, there is no point in hiring someone for the job I could do on my own. On the other way if I had to make daily about 500 posts that would be a challenge even for a person that possessed magical power of using ten pairs of hands on ten different computers at the same time. But as long as it is impossible – I don’t disagree with people who like to hire other to comment blogs and websites. It’s just a job like any other – as long as they do not write anything illegal, which would be pretty stupid according to the goal they want to achieve.

You could get a good Virtual server for 1-3 months with that amount of cash.

I would say that $100 for 100 comments is a very steep price. Using a blog commenter which inputs your details, all you need to do is write a brief message and hit ok.

Yeah, outsourcing the comment posting job is a bit difficult to manage, but I don’t think it is that difficult. You can simply ask the person to send you the URL where the comments are posted.
I’m in the same boat as you, I thought about hiring someone to do my commenting for me but with clever time management, I found out I could fit in 10 comments a day and do my article writing too
For lack of time i could not spend for my site link building i hire other to do command on other blogs. But i am afraid that they are doing spam my site.

I think, better to rent than own comment people. it can generate a lot of comments but because of the limitations of cost that is not comparable with the results obtained will lead to losses.

Yes Getting back links is a difficult job but still it improves your ranking.. Do follow blogs helps in developing back links which is much supportive.
If you are going to pay somebody make sure you pay enough, Ive heard of people paying for these 40 comments for $9 affairs and simply getting a load of ‘cool blog’ comments – and even then, most of them were not approved.

Yeah, I agree – it’s best to do it yourself. I wouldn’t trust anybody since you never know if they really stick to what you tell them to do. And if you have to double-check everything, you’re just wasting yout time.
commenting yourself is still the best solution because you know your website better than anybody else , but it takes a lot of time , and everybody can’t afford to spend this time.
if you choose to hire somebody you have to make sure he fully understand what you expect from him and what he can or can not say !
Right now I make my own comments but depending on the size of the campaign there may come a time where you need to hire someone.
Do your research and find someone you can trust and manage that person/company.

Hiring someone to write a comment on do-follow blogs for you could seem to make your task less tedious. However, how could you ensure that the comments are not written so badly? Do you have to check them all? Isn’t that a tedious task too?
yes definitely you have said very right about the hiring process for the do follow commenting i usually take services from my facebook account but i get the expected results so i think i am the lucky guy because till now i haven’t faced any problem but i will keep your tips in my mind!
Those requirements are asking a lot, espescially depending on how competitive your field is. That may be tough for even an SEO expert to accomplish.

Also i do not know why some commenters are having problems with akismet.
From what i know..if you comment during the course of day…i just keep my google reader open and keep commenting when ever i get a chance…i have never had a problem with commenting…and i comment a lot.

Outsourcing is a great way to build up your Internet business. The key is to “train” someone to post comments the way you want it done. I have three people working for me. One of the gals has been writing articles for me but wants more work, soooo, I created a tutorial on how to do blog posting for me.
I will pay her a good fee after posting, and a bonus when the posts are accepted. This way she is posting quality comments and getting paid a nice bonus to do-it-my-way.
I like the idea of outsourcing, but I have a fear that the quality I would get would indeed be sub par. I don’t think I would pay a lot for someone to post comments. Then again, I may just be a control freak.
I don’t have any requirements on backlink building, because a back link is a backlink, every backlinks matter a lot, unless it is from linkfarms, then it’s bad, but PR doesn’t matter as much to me.
The problem with hiring out comments, is that all those comments are very generic and seldom get approved by the site administrator. So you’re really not getting much for your money in the end.
The problem I have with hiring out people is that you can’t trust their work. Personally I find myself double checking them so I might as well do it myself.
Yeah and you can bet that the comments won’t get approved because they will be totally irrelevant to the post.
I think that hiring someone to do comments for you is very bad idea. No because you will have to pay for a thing that you can do on your own, but can you trust alien person that will make your blog more visible and won’t destroy your reputation? If you trust such person it is a lot easier, but if you are not, you would have to read all comments before paying for them and that also takes much time. So maybe it is better and cheaper to write on your own?
Well, I already followed steps from instructions, but it did not work. On the left hand below the page views, I did not find the quick comment box. I also went to Settings ( settings –> who can post comment ?, but I did not see “Enable Quick Comment “. And, went to my page as well, but nothing came up

Another risk for hiring people to do your blog comments would be publishing off-topic comments or just general “give me a link” comments.
Although the price is cheap, but they should at least scan the post and write something useful.

Yes. I am also one of the dofollow blog poster. One person had hired me for $50 for to make the 100 comments on do follow blogs. But, he didn’t pay me anything for the comments I made. He cheated me.

I don’t know about you…but I wouldn’t spend my own time commenting on do-follow blogs or whatever for $1 a comment. Link building is tedious and absorbs too much of my time. In many niches, it’s becoming more difficult to find do-follow blogs that are on topic…or have any PR at all.

Finding dofollow blogs is a tough task. I would not hire this out to a consultant to do. Too many times I have found that they cut corners when doing simple tasks like this and unless you are really specific with your terms they will try to cheat you!

its easy to get backlinks or inbound links from dofollow . But its really tough to get quality backlinks or inbound links.
It is not the question of trust but questions pertaining to quality and content matters the most while hiring those off shore link builders. Moreover they cannot contribute quality comments to the posts especially when they are about real niche content. Say my blog deals with las vegas real estate and I cant expect a link builder to post gr8 comments relevant and contributing to the original post. So in such scenarios I prefer to do those link building activities on my own, just like you did
This ensures I know what I am posting + I get to know what is happening in my niche market. The only hassle I find is, the entire process is lot of time consuming

I don’t know that I would trust anyone to do my blog commenting for me. If I were going to hire someone, I would have them report every blog and post they commented on, and I would check every of those comments out at first. Then, if they met my standards, I would continue to spot check comments periodically.
The really frightening thing is, if the person you hire does comments for other customers, would blog owners start recognizing the commentor by email address or IP and flag their comments as spam?

I recently employed an assistant to do all the stuff I hate – all the repetitive tasks that I simply cannot get motivated to do, even on a good day.
But when I considered the issue of Blog commenting, I realised there simply is no short cut – it’s worth doing properly, so I do it myself.
I also moderate all the comments on my own blogs manually since I never allow a comment to post immediately – now perhaps that I could give to my assistant,since it’s relatively easy to identify a spam comment.
Good post though – made me think about the issue a little, often tend to ‘just do things’ or not because they’re convenient…

Take it from me, it’s very hard to find someone who is trustworthy and reliable but you know what, I found that person in odesk.com, you can search his user name (rodeliodelacruz) and he really provides quality comment in every blog, he is very trustworthy and reliable, in fact, I’m going to hire him in my next project. I used to comment in blogs during my free time but sometimes I would rather have go in vacation and hire someone to do the task for me. I highly recommend this guy, I’m sure he will never let you down.

I think that outscourcing important content is generally a mistake. Very rarelt does it tap into the philosophy of your online presence. Better you do it yourself or employ someone who really understands what you are trying to achieve and can articulate it adequately online.
Great article, but I am new to the world of building back links and I would like to know how you can even tell if a link is a Do-Follow or No-Follow link. I know that if you right click on the link and select properties it will sometimes say NoFollow, but I haven’t seen any yet that say Dofollow even though I have been searching in google blogs for Do follow as instructed by a friend. Can anyone tell me how to find these do follow links. I would really appreciate the help.

This may not work for you or the poster, if criteria are high and you are concerned. Its an issue for everyone who needs to compete and be seen on Google. Most of us don’t get paid for what we do on the web, we get paid for what we do in the real World, so the web work becomes a chore if you can’t find a way around making it entertaining.
Everything can be hired out. But there it sure is difficult to give authentic comments on blogs when you aren’t doing it for yourself. It think people can tell the difference. I don’t think it should be encouraged.

I can definitely see how it could make sense to hire out if you’re really busy, since it’s a pretty time consuming task. But you need to make sure that the people you hire are dependable or you’ll end up with a lot of comments that are irrelevant and get deleted.

If You want to have a lot of comments on Your blog, You need to be aware of the fact that some of them will come from people that doesn’t even read what You write. And that is something not very unusual. The more people You attract, the more of them will come just to use You. That is the way the cookie crumbles.

I guess what’s essential in this aspect is make sure that the person being hired should report to you about the comments he/she had posted everyday. I think I also have to required dofollow blog commentator as its hard to manage all think alone. I installed disqus comment form on my blog with top commentator. I also invite people to comment on my blog.
I think your better off doing the comments yourself.
I would consider farming out the dofollow comments, but I would be concerned with the quality of the comments being posted. If the comment is being linked back to MY site, that comment is a reflection of me. If the comment has poor grammar and punctuation, I wouldn’t want that associated with my content.

Unless your paying top $$ for a real SEO expert it is better to build quality links yourself. This way you can control it better and you get to learn along the way.

If your on the process of finding someone to do blog commenting,my advice is to hire someone from the Philippines. I personally hired outsourcers there and I can say they are fantastic workers aside from already being great with English.

I have thought about hiring out blog commenting since it is such a tedious job. But, like you I would be concerned that my out-sourcer could get lazy, make just a few bad comments that could be flagged as spam. That could really hurt your blog.

Hiring someone to do blog commenting is extremely risky. Most paid commenters don’t care and you may find your website blocked by Akismet or other spam filters.
I would not give my blog into hands of someone else, rather I would sell it to a person who would like to make this site his own. But giving my work to someone else, no. That is not for me.
I don’t mind hiring out blog commentators as long as the person I hired don’t make fun of the job being given to him/her. It may be risky but somehow it would also help in gaining that traffic you have longed. After all, it is also a responsibility filtering the person being hired.

Still if you hire someone, you are held responsible and accountable for whatever actions he or she is going to make. At the end, it is your site that is being put at risk.

It is all about common sense and good content anyway. I did try one of those “robots” to submit trackbacks. I do not recomend those things. It did mess up my backlinks and also did upset some blog administrators. I am a fan of good content and interraction on blogs.
That does seem like a lot of work to outsource to somebody else but I think that it might be something I might look into in the future.
It would definitely be on a trail basis with lots of oversight from me initially since that comment is the alot of times the first impression of your site a person sees.

You can use Traffictravis to trace the work of the person you hire as all the backlink can be checked. But for me I still doing myself.
I’ve never outsourced any comments and I’ll never do that. You have no control over your comments, and the commentators don’t really care about doing a good job in most cases.
I wouldn’t consider this an option.

You can give the link of your website in the website field, and include link building keywords that you are targeting, along with your name. I feel you bring up some good points. Don’t link for link’s sake. YOu are also branding yourself as well and if all your comments are kind of spammy/crappy, then you are only hurting your brand in the long run. I do agree with you. Commenting is very important for link building, but the same time we have to remember the rules of “relevancy” so the comment wont be deleted!
There is no way I would let other comment on blogs representing my company. I see so much spammy blog comments I could never reduce myself to that. Also while commenting may get you a link (usually low quality) it will not show help in creating though leadership unless it is done by you and has some though behind it. Becoming a thought leader in any industry will produce far more and better links to your site and you won’t be stuck inside all day commenting on blogs.

in my experience you’ve got to find someone who u can trust to do the commenting,,it’s a trial and error situation coz not everyone can do it. For me a list of the sites commented on is a good thing,you can monitor the comments and u have a list of blogs that are comment worthy
